A visit with the Lancashire Peat Partnership

In September, we had the chance to visit two upland sites, Aushaw Moss and Darwen Moors, with Alex Hubberstey from the Lancashire Peat Partnership.

They were being actively worked on by contractors and volunteers and despite the rain in the morning, all the volunteers were in great spirit planting Bilberry and Cross Leaved Heath that were supplied by us. Great to see the amazing work, planning and effort that is going into the conservation of those vital sites.

    Power to the Peatland 2026

Power to the Peatlands 2026 was an incredibly useful event for us. With our ambitions to support the European peatland sector in meeting its restoration targets, we could not have landed among a more engaged and welcoming community.

We’ve come away with a host of new contacts, exciting project opportunities and valuable insights that should keep us busy until P2P 2028!

A huge thank you to the lead organisers Natuurmonumenten, Natuurpunt & Radboud University.

Paludiculture & Sphagnum moss in Amsterdam

A few weeks ago our founder Neal Wright & Matt Keniston where shown some very interesting paludiculture & sphagnum growing sites just North of Amsterdam.

Aldert van Weeren as always was very generous with his time, giving us a guided tour of the wetlands as well as sharing some of his work in advance materials from wetland biomass.
